Customer Service Story of the Week

A customer ordered a lot of a series of textbooks, more than I had in stock. And my supplier did not have enough either, and other companies I am friendly with were also out. What to do?

So I shipped everything I had, and had my supplier drop ship, and then I found a company that had them and bought them at retail (it hurt) and shipped them to the customer, since they needed them ASAP.

My unexpected emergency of yesterday and today.
