China's Output Growth Slows Sharply Wall Street Journal.
It's going to be a challenge for China since a certain rate of growth is expected as the country is modernized, the number 8% seems to be the magic number.

Things to watch for:

Will the government keep it's mandate if growth slows below that?
Will internal markets grow as China focuses on exporting less to take up the slack?
Will democracy at a local level be introduced again (there were some experiments at a village level in 1999.
