A challenge I have had is when the publisher changes the cover. This happens with books I get for personal reading. Go to the store, new cover, and now you have two of them! So I would start checking to see if this was a reprint. Some of the Chinese books I got today have new covers. Luckily, since I have the publishers part number and ISBN, I believe I have the duplicate issue under control. Now I just need to scan in the new covers.
I wonder if I should also keep an image of the old cover?
