I was listening last night to an interview with a person from the NY times on WikiLeaks, and I was surprised at one comment. He indicated that China sees the US as a declining world power, while China is accending. And since about February, the Chinese government has become much more open on this view.
I suggest read this article while keeping that view in line. It helps explain what is driving the Chinese actions.
