Success by Being Less Asian?
Unfortunately, I need to agree with the article.
Stereotypes are mental short cuts, and the admission process deluges admission offices with a huge amounts of applications, and somehow the overworked admission people need to reduce it substantially. And with too many Asian applicants, they look for looking for Asian applicants who stand out. And how to stand out? By doing less of the Asian typical activities. No racket sports. More Leadership, definitely a sport. And the typical non-profit type activities. And choose a major that is seen as less Asian.
