Sounds Like Home

Sounds Like Home - Every once in awhile, I hear the language of my parents, Toisanese, being spoken in Honolulu. In Honolulu Magazine.

By Nancy J. Usui who also has a blog http://www.toisanpride.com/

Just because a person says they speak Chinese, it does not automatically mean Mandarin. There are a lot of Chinese dialects spoken (which Mandarin has now become the main one over the last 100 years).
