French is a beautiful language that reflects the culture that gave birth to it. From fashion to food to culture, there is a lot of great things about France. Unfortunately from a business prospective, unless doing business in some African nations I don't see a huge reason to learn French, when compared with the potential of China, or even doing business with the huge Hispanic Markets of North and South America. I took German in High School, and the one time I tried to use it in Germany the shop keeper spoke better English than my German! When I visited France we had no problems communicating, and in doing business with people from France I have had no challenges.
