Kidnapped Kids in China

China launches DNA database to track trafficked kids - The Register

The goal of the database, which would be used with kidnapped and homeless kids is to figure out who the real parents are.

Sometimes Chinese children will be kidnapped in China, official numbers are 3,000, unofficial is around 70,000. Please note this is out of a population of a Billion. Some are because a family desires a boy (very important in China that has a poor safety net, so kids are the safety net).
