IB Chinese Textbook
I was asked what book was recommended for using as a textbook for IB Chinese, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out Chinese Made Easy and Easy Steps to Chinese. Both of which I carry.
I have very mixed feelings on the International Baccalaureate , since my daughter went through it. The positive is she learned a huge amount. The negative is it hurt her GPA, so she may not have gotten into her top choices. The positive is what she learned in IB, especially on how to write, and write, and write some more will be with her forever. IB was a huge amount of work, but it has helped prepare her for the rigorous pace she is going through college. I would not be surprised if she finishes within 3 years with her BS. And yes, I know usually only 58% of college students finish within 6 years, and only 47% of low income students. Another day for another essay on why Colleges need to change. I am still jealous of my cousin's kids, who got an AA degree at the same time as their high school diploma.
Easy Steps and Chinese Made Easy are by the same authors, just different publishers. One of the authors taught in Canada, so they are very familiar with Western students.
