Whistle-Blowers in Chinese City Sent to Mental Hospital from the NY Times. What is fascinating about this story is it appeared in the official Chinese paper and news bureau (ie someone in the central government is backed this).
So the question is why, and what will happen? The who I assumed we will never know, and the how is publishing it in a major newspaper. The four questions a reporter should ask are who, what, why and how.
I hope it's signaling a crackdown on corruption and abuse of power by local officials. I know, I am just an optimist!
