Chinese Applications fall at US Graduate Schools
Chinese students make up 1/3rd of all US Graduate students. My guess for the decrease is increased competition from other countries, as well as universities in China. This will hurt a lot of US Universities, as they have treated the Chinese students as cash cows, to subsidize the rest of the university. UCLA and UC Berkeley in CA are doing this. And the Visa headache, as well as getting permission to work after graduation is another headache. Or there may be some type of official policy change.
