Lenovo Laptop Hinge Issues
I bought some Lenevo Laptops for my employees, but they seem to have a hinge issue. It's a shame, since I have such great memories of a ThinkPad that is super heavy duty. The hinge issue looks like a design defect with too much stress being put on 1 screw located near the left hinge.
The laptop in question is only a couple of months old. I have owned / used laptops for over 15 years, and I have never seen this type of issue. I have probably had at least 10 laptops.
Anyway, Lenovo Tech Support's answer is they will fix it, but if there is any evidence of dropping they will charge you.
So should I try that, or get it fixed by a local repair place for around $100? And the question is how long will it take Lenovo to repair.
