Russian Professor Predicts End of U.S. Fascinating article on a strange Russian belief of how the US could splinter. Looking at the map is a great way to get a good laugh. The part of California becoming part of China, along with most of the Western US is interesting.
My Mother's comment (she has a Masters in History) was what does this say when this person is of such a high position in Russian, and second is he's clueless about the US.
My thought was the Civil War changed us to we, and that has not changed. Splitting Montana from Idaho? Not understanding that California is not the most popular state around.

It true that you will not suddenly change your mother tongue and never adopt easily other country language.Often your not facing this problem many other people's are facing these type of problems.
It is true that it is not possible that you get will lean easily other language in short term of peroid.
