China is currently the 2nd largest box office in the world after the US, and may be first within 5 years. Due to this, Hollywood studious are focused on the China market. The Independent has a list of movies that were tweaked, to make them more acceptable to the Chinese government. The remake of Red Dawn was the biggest example I know of.
