I can understand this. China is a country I would love to visit, but I do worry about food and air pollution.

There is a huge outlet Mall near Palm Springs, on the Indian Reservation of Morongo. Tourist buses full of Chinese stop by here. And the Chinese tourists leave with bags full of high end luxury items.

The good news is the amount of tourists going to the US has increased. The bad news as a percentage of world tourism, the US has shrunk from 17.3% in 2000, to 11.2 today. The reason was the increase in security after 9-11.

Mainland Chinese tourism to the US has increased by 50% since last year!
Nice general article, some parts I disagree with. There is HUGE amount of Chinese tour groups that are used by mainland Chinese tourists that offer excellent deals including food and hotel rooms.
