Chinatown Turkies

About two weeks ago I was in LA ChinaTown and I noticed Sam Woo was advertising a BBQ Turkey for Thanksgiving.

This press release reminded me about it:

Sometimes its easier just to order a Thanksgiving Feast and warm it up, verses cooking it from scratch.  And yes, I am a pretty good cook and have done both.  For Thanksgiving I become the main cook :-)

Chinese Halloween & Hungry Ghost Festival

Hungry Ghost Festival is the closest holiday to Halloween that is celebrated in China, which is usually around the August. In the lunar calendar, 14th night of the 7th month. Paper money and other items are burned for the ancestors, food given to them, as well as tomb sweeping.
